Lose Weight By Moving Around

Welcome back to my weight loss blog!

I previously posted about the importance of counting calories and how you must maintain an allotted number of calories.  I firmly believe that is the key to weight loss.  You can do what ever else you want and if you don’t control your intake you simply will not lose weight.  Well now I would like to supplement that theory with the theory of moving around.

When I first started my weight loss journey My wife bought me a bike.

My new bike!

I loved riding around, I would hop on and ride to the store, to my second job, and to the park.  I burned so many calories riding that bike around.  I started to notice I wasn’t breathing as hard walking upstairs and the scale showed a nice drop in weight.  My point is, if you want to lost weight stop eating so much and supplement that with exercise.  I decided it’s time to take that advice again.

This morning I rode to work.

Then after work I went for a walk with my wife and baby.

So that’s it.  Get out and exercise.  Find ways to exercise and burn those calories.  In case you were wondering the bike ride I used a garmin Forerunner 405 and for the walk I used the app MapMyRun on my iphone.
